Terms of use

You keep all rights to everything you upload or write here — manuscripts, data, figures, discussion. We claim no ownership and no licence beyond what is technically necessary to run the service for you: storing your files, showing them to the collaborators you invite, compiling your PDF, and backing the whole thing up.

We do not use your manuscripts to train AI models, and we do not sell or share them. See Who can see your work for exactly which third parties process your data and why.

Two exports, both available at any time without asking us: Settings → Export manuscript gives you a zip of the current files plus every uploaded figure, and History → Full historygives you every version with its diffs and a changelog. There is no lock-in mechanism and no exit fee, and we will not hold your manuscript hostage to a subscription.

Deleting your account removes your data, and projects only you belong to go with it. One limit worth knowing before you rely on it: if you own a project other people are still members of, deletion is refused rather than destroying their work — hand that project to another owner, or delete it, and deletion proceeds.

Revisenda is in early access. It is provided as-is, without warranty. It may have bugs, it may be briefly unavailable, and features may change. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. We take backups seriously, and the privacy page states exactly what this deployment does and where copies live — but no backup regime is a substitute for your own copy of your own paper.

To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us, which during early access is nothing.

If Revisenda shuts down, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email to every account, during which export continues to work. We will not delete your data without telling you first.

Use it for research writing. Don't upload other people's work without the right to do so, don't attempt to break into other accounts or projects, and don't use it to store material that is illegal where you are.

You are responsible for what your collaborators can see: inviting someone to a project gives them access to that project's manuscript and discussion. If your institution restricts where unpublished research may be stored, check before inviting people from outside it.

AI drafts summaries, decisions, and reviewer interpretations, and proposes edits. No AI action becomes authoritative without a human confirming it, and no AI agent can approve a change into the shared version of your manuscript — that requires a signed-in person. Treat AI output as a suggestion from a well-read colleague who has not checked their work.

Content sent to the AI provider is limited to what the feature needs — discussion text, decision summaries and section outlines. The provider in use is named on your project's AI settings page, and a project owner can switch it off entirely or supply their own key.

One account per person, with an address you control. You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us if you think an account has been compromised and we will help you secure it.

If we change anything that materially affects you, we will email every account rather than quietly updating this page. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
